It doesn't matter which day of the year you get married on in Scotland it's can be a gamble as to what weather you get. Even though the wedding of Nick and Lisa was in November we had a beautiful sunny day at the Moorpark House Hotel. it gave us the chance to get some fantastic shots outside in the gardens.
Brig O' Doon House hotel in Alloway was the setting for one of our 2013 Summer weddings.
After a beautiful ceremony in the Alloway Parish Church Chris & Nicola spent the day with family and friends at the fantastic Brig O' Doon House Hotel. We managed to get some beautiful shots in the church and on the old brig with group shots all taken care of in the grounds of the hotel..
It was also one of those occasions where having 2 photographers was a real plus. While i was shooting the couple close up on the bridge my trusty 2nd photographer Christopher was positioned on the road bridge adjacent getting some very different wide shots of the proceedings.
When Christopher and I went up to meet Ross & Kerry at Forbes of Kingennie we couldn't wait to photograph their wedding. A truly beautiful venue and a really lovely couple. The wedding day couldn't have been better with lovely weather, a fun bunch of guests and a stunning venue.
Its very rare to have 2 weddings the same, and it's also rare for us to photograph 2 weddings on the same day... Lee and Asha's wedding at the Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnstone was one of these very different occasions. The day consisted of 2 Ceremonies which meant 2 very different styles of wedding. The first ceremony was a traditional Hindu Wedding full of all the colourful dress and rituals that go along with that.
In Scotland one thing to remember is that no matter what time of year you have your wedding you just can't predict what weather you will have on your big day. Richard and Nicola celebrated their wedding in November on a day that was less than spectacular weather wise at the Seamill Hydro. A really lovely couple and they didn't let the weather spoil their day one bit and we still managed to get some lovely shots outside.
I really love when we capture sequences of images raher than just one image that tells a story. The shot's below were taken near the end of the evening reception, a very cute moment of tenderness turns to laughter.
